'Sita Ramam' is undeniably popular in Telugu states. It did well at the box office, earning a whopping Rs 50 crores (Gross) at the box office. After a string of flops, Hanu Raghavapudi's period musical romantic drama film surprised the audience.
Lieutenant Ram, an orphan army officer serving at the Kashmir border, receives anonymous love letters from an unknown girl Sita Mahalakshmi and sets out on a mission to find her and accept her love.
With a whopping budget of Rs 30 crores, the film made by legendary production house Vyjayanthi movies reportedly earned Rs 33 crores (Nett) and has collected over Rs 2 crores on the 11th day of its release from all language versions.
Day 12 is expected to be a down day for the film because it is a busy working day for the public, as opposed to yesterday. Other language versions of the film have reportedly grossed over Rs 83 lakh in Tamil and Rs 36 lakh in Malayalam.
The lead actors in the film were Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, and Rashmika Mandanna. Sumanth, Tharun Bhascker, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and others played supporting roles. Vishal Chandrasekhar composed the music for it. PS Vinod and Shreyas Krishna shot the film, which was edited by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
