The recently released Sita Ramam, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur, won over audiences' hearts and the box office. With a total box office take of close to Rs 100 crore, the movie became a commercial success. After dominating Telugu Cinema, the movie is having a fantastic run in Hindi since its September 2 release. Photographers recently captured Dulquer and Mrunal when they came to Mumbai for the successful meeting of their film Sita Ramam.
Speaking to the media, the actor discussed the Hindi release of Sita Ramam and stated, I was very keen to release it in Hindi. I had open dates and was free to dub. So I asked them to dub the Hindi version and then figure out what to do with it. We were all a little worried coz there were a lot of films lined up. There has not been a love story for a film that has set the box office on fire. I was anxious too, as it was a romantic film. But now, we have got a lot of courage to release a lot more films in Hindi, which can be love stories too."
Sita Ramam is Prabhas' favorite movie, says Ashwin Dutt, who produced the blockbuster love drama. The creator said, "Prabhas is very fond of this film, he loves it so much that he came all the way to attend the pre-release. He even prepared to come for other press meets also at one stage but unfortunately, that couldn't happen as his uncle passed away. Our blessings are with him."
In the Hanu Raghavapudi-directed film Sita Ramam, Dulquer Salmaan plays a soldier, while Mrunal Thakur, who is making her South Indian acting debut, plays his lady love. Their love story is told through letters and letters. Sumanth Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna both have major roles.
