Renowned playback singer Sithara Krishnakumar has received a UAE Golden Visa. The actor received his visa-stamped passport from ECH Digital CEO Iqbal Marconi. This was at the headquarters of ECH Digital, a leading government service provider in Dubai.
Earlier, Indian celebrities, including Malayalam film stars, received Golden Visas. Golden visas are being granted by the UAE government. This is to investors and businessmen who have demonstrated excellence in various fields.
These visas are valid for ten years and can renew upon expiration. Many Malayalees, including leading actors, have already received golden visas. The UAE has recently announced a relaxation in the criteria for granting golden visas. The UAE aims to extend the benefits of the Golden Visa to more categories.
Sitara Krishnakumar is one of the favourite singers of Malayalees. Sithara, who came in front of the audience with her unique voice, has already presented many songs. Sithara reached the film world through music programmes on television channels. Sithara also won the 2012 Kerala State Film Award for Best Playback Singer.
She made the transition to being a film composer with the release of Udalaazham. The movie, made by the medical group Doctor's Dilemma, also includes her spouse Dr. Sajish. She appeared in a cameo in Ramesh Pisharody's Malayalam film Ganagandharvan.
Meanwhile, many people from Malayalam cinema have already received golden visas. Mammootty, Mohanlal, and Prithviraj received Golden Visas. Later, Dulquer Salmaan, Naila Usha, Tovino Thomas, Asha Sarath, and Asif Ali received it. Lal Jose, Meera Jasmine, Suraj Venjaramood, and Meena received Golden Visas later.
