Sivakarthikeyan Will Not Act In Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam 2

Sivakarthikeyan's meteoric rise from being a stand-up comedian to a leading Kollywood star is an inspiration to many. He is now an actor, producer, lyric writer and also expressed his wish to direct a film someday. In the initial years of his career, Sivakarthikeyan acted in a lot of rural entertainers. One of the hit films which catapulted him to fame was director Ponram's Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam. In the film, Sivakarthikeyan played the lead role with Soori playing his sidekick. Recently, Sivakarthikeyan opened up about the film's sequel and whether he is reuniting with director Ponram or not. During the interaction, Siva said that he is not keen on the sequel as the film is already a super hit venture.

Now, director Ponram took to social media to share an official update regarding a sequel to Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam. He confirmed that Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam 2 is currently in the works. What is surprising is that it will not feature Sivakarthikeyan. Director Ponram's tweet is translated as, "IT is true that Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam 2 is in the works. Sivakarthikeyan has matured as an actor. I will direct the sequel with upcoming young heroes. Burst the crackers #vvs2." The film features Sivakarthikeyan, Sathyaraj, and Sri Divya in lead roles.
