Sivakarthikeyan's Doctor postned to May

Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in director PS Mithran's Hero, which released in 2019 on Christmas. The film received a mixed response from the audience and critics alike. This year, Sivakarthikeyan will be having three releases , which is Doctor, Don and the long-pending Ayalaan. Earlier this year, Sivakarthikeyan announced that his upcoming film Doctor with director Nelson Dilipkumar will hit the theatres worlwide on March 26. The film which revolves around organ trafficking is likely to get postponed due to the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections. Several states are going to polls in the coming months and they have already started their campaign in multiple cities.

The Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections is slated to happen on April 6 in the state, which might prove costly to the film's business in the theatre. If reports are true, Doctor is said to be postponed to May 13. However, an official announcement regarding the film being postponed is yet to be made. Doctor is jointly produced by KJR Studios and Sivakarthikeyan's Productions. The film's supporting cast includes Vinay Rai, Yogi Babu, Archana Chandhoke and Ilavarasu in important roles. Doctor has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander.
