Sivakarthikeyan's Don Team Fined For Violating Covid-19 Protocols

Sivakarthikeyan joined hands with director Cibi Chakravarthi for a campus-based film titled Don. The film stars Priyanka Arul Mohan, Sivaangi, RJ Vijay, and several others. The shooting of Don was progressing at a brisk pace in Mukkonam near Coimbatore. On Sunday, nearly 400 people had gathered at the shooting spot in Mukkonam violating safety protocols. The Coimbatore District Police noticed this and registered a case against 31 members of the crew. However, Sivakarthikeyan's name was not among the 31 members. The team was shooting some important sequences on the banks of River Aliyar in Mukkonam on Sunday, August 9.

 
The Don team did not get permission from the local panchayat office. The Anaimalai tahsildar and his team visited the shooting spot and dispersed the crowd. The officials have now registered a case against director Cibi Chakravarthy and 30 other members under sections 269 (Negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) and 271 (Disobedience to quarantine rule) of the Indian Penal Code along with section 3 (Penalty) of the Epidemic Diseases Act. A fine of Rs 19, 400 was imposed for violating the protocols.
