Sivakarthikeyan's next film with director Madonne Ashwin, titled 'Maaveeran,' was announced a few weeks ago by Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. The shooting for 'Maaveeran,' a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, began today in Chennai on the auspicious day of Aadi 18th. The makers have finalized the female lead. The crew will be in Chennai for a month, and the majority of the film is expected to be completed during that time.
Sivakarthikeyan will don a new look for the film, and director Shankar's daughter Aditi Shankar is cast as the film's heroine. Aditi will also make her Telugu debut with 'Maaveeran,' as the film is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual titled 'Mahaveerudu' in Telugu. Aditi Shankar will join the 'Maaveeran' shoot a day or two later because she is off to Madurai today for the grand audio of 'Viruman.'
Vijay Sethupathi was rumored to be playing a key role in 'Maaveeran,' but the makers have yet to approach the busy actor for the film. Mysskin and Saritha have joined the film's cast, bolstering its star power. The action drama's music will be composed by Bharath Sankar, and Vidhu Ayyanna will operate the camera.
Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan will next be seen in 'Prince,' a Tamil-Telugu bilingual directed by Anudeep that is set to release this Diwali.
