The film's digital and television rights have been sold for about 40 crores of rupees. According to reports, the Tamil version's theatrical rights are bought for Rs 45 crores. The audio rights brought in Rs 4 crores.
The movie was shot in several locales in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Sivakarthikeyan plays the role of a teacher who falls in love with a foreigner.
