Kollywood star hero Silambarasan aka Simbu is all set to enthrall the audience with his upcoming Tamil film 'Maanadu' under the direction of Venkat Prabhu. The project delayed for a long time and after multiple discussions with Simbhu and his parents, the project finally took off. The director and producer of the film are extremely happy now with the film's progress.

Recently, during Sankranthi, the makers have unveiled the details of cast and crew of the film. Kalyani Priyadarshan is playing the female lead in the film and actors like Bharathiraja, S A Chandrasekhar, Premgi Amaren and Karunakaran are playing crucial roles in the film. As per the latest reports, the makers have roped in another popular actor for this film and he is none other than versatile actor SJ Surya.
A poster welcoming SJ Surya onboard for the film by the production house is now going viral on the internet. Suresh Kamatchi under V House Production Banner is bankrolling this project. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing tunes for this film whereas Richard M Nathan is cranking the camera.
