Dabaang actress Sonakshi Sinha has joined a long line of Bollywood celebrities in extending her support for healthcare workers across the country. On Friday Sonakshi revealed that she is joining the celebrity platform app Tring to raise money for PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) kits for frontline health workers. Sonakshi is joining hands with Manish Mundra of Dhrishyam Films, and photographer-producer Atul Kasbekar and Tring for the initiative. Taking to social media Sonakshi has urged her fans and followers to donate for PPE kits as much as they can.
She said, "Our doctors, nurses, and all the health care professionals are putting their lives in danger to protect us and take care of all the patients. I don't think there is anything nobler than putting your life at risk to save others.
"Unfortunately, hospitals are facing a shortage of PPE kits which is putting the lives of all our medical staff at risk. Through his campaign, I am urging all my fans to come forward and donate PPE kits which will be directly reaching the hospitals that require them. It is the need of the hour and I hope we all can come together and fight this war," Sonakshi added.
Sonakshi has said that anyone who donates between 25-100 kits will get a special shoutout on her Facebook. People who donate 100-200 kits will get a personal message from Sonakshi herself. And those who donate even more stand a chance to video call Sonakshi Sinha.
Previously actress Vidya Balan also collaborated with other celebrities on Tring to raise over 1000 PPE kits for those in need.
