A fan made a request to Sonu Sood, the Happy New Year actor, to help her out with something personal. The fan named Sushrima Acharya took to Twitter to make the request. She asked Sood to transport either her or her husband after having to spend this quarantine with him for two months. To which he had a witty suggestion to make. Sood like many other celebrities has been doing his part in this COVID-19 circumstance. He has been helping migrants to travel to their home by arranging appropriate transport for them.

Seeing this, The fed up wife wrote, "SonuSood I am staying with my husband from Janta Curfew to lock down 4. Can u either send him or send me to my mother’s house, as I can’t stay with him anymore," To which he replied saying, "I have a better plan .. let me send both of you to Goa. What say?”
More and more fans are requesting help from him everyday. The requests range from a plea for help to get to a liquor store and a parlour to many more intriguing ones. Meanwhile, a pregnant migrant woman named her child after Sood.
This happened after he helped her reach her village. He revealed his conversation with the woman expressing how touched he was by the gesture. He recollected the encounter saying, “I said, how can it be Sonu Sood as you are Shrivastav? It could probably be Sonu Shrivastav and she said, Nahi humney bachche ka naam Sonu Sood Shrivastav rakha hai.’ That was so sweet; I was touched.”
He revealed in an interview that seeing migrant workers struggle made him emotional. He said, “It has been an extremely emotional journey for me, as my heart pains to see these migrants staying away from their homes and trying to walk all the way home. I will continue sending migrants home until the last migrant reunites with his family and loved ones. This is something really close to my heart and I will give it my all,”
