K-drama fans might see a familiar face in the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel. According to Starnews Korean, South Korean actor Park Seo-Joon has been cast in The Marvels which stars actors such as Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani. While Park Seo-Joon's agency is yet to confirm the news, the fans of the actor have taken to social media to celebrate the news.
The Marvel director Nia DaCosta, who has now deactivated her Twitter account, had taken to the Twitter space to fangirl over the actor in 2020. So, we can assume that the news might just be true!
Park Seo-Joon is one of the most popular South Korean stars. He is well known for his roles in shows like What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim, She Was Pretty and Itaewon Class. Seo-Joon was also a part of the Oscar award-winning film Parasite.
According to Starnews, Park Seo-Joon will make his way to the US in the latter half of this year after wrapping up his upcoming film Concrete Utopia.
Captain Marvel was a massive success at the box office grossing over 1.13 billion dollars. The film will also feature new-age Marvel characters such as Monica Rambeau from Disney Plus' WandaVision played by Teyonah Parris and Kamala Khan played by Inman Vellani. The stakes are quite high for the Marvels. Park Seo-Joon joining the cast will surely turn out to be advantageous. On the flip side, the expectations might also be quite high since he is a huge star. The Marvels is all set to premiere on 11th November 2022.
