Spooky horror films lined up in MAMI International Film Festival 2019

Horror and thriller films have a separate fan base among the audience. The organizers of the MAMI International Film Festival have introduced a dedicated category for those movies and named it ‘After Dark.’ First introduced in 2016, this section was a huge success and since then, many horror films are getting screened under this category in every edition.

Even this year, there are 11 films under the After Dark category and they are 11:50, A Little Taste, Alien, All Inclusive, Greener Grass, Harpoon, Hunting Season, Memory: The Origins of Alien, Midsommar, The Other Side of the Box and The Lodge. Midsommar, directed by Ari Aster of The Hereditary fame stands out as the favourite film in this category. It is also one of the festival’s favourites as it won a lot of critical acclaim across various film festivals. Starting on the 17th of this month, the MAMI International Film Festival will continue until this 24th.
