Tamil actor Karthi has reportedly been asked to play a key character in the SS. Rajamouli film, and the 'Ponniyin Selvan' actor has also expressed interest in the role.
With his recent 'RRR,' successful filmmaker SS. Rajamouli has re-initiated the tradition of making Multi-Starrer films in Telugu Cinema, and all of his previous films in that genre have been blockbusters at the Global Box-office. Currently, the unconventional filmmaker is thought to be preoccupied with the film's pre-production work, as well as marketing his 'RRR' for Oscar nominations in the US under the Independent category this year. SS.Rajamouli, who is improving with each film project, is rumoured to be working on an epic adventure picture with Mahesh Babu that will surpass the budget of all his previous films.
However, neither the mareks nor the actor have issued an official confirmation of the same, which is expected to be announced soon.
Mahesh Babu is presently filming for Trivikram Srinivas' #SSMB28, which stars Pooja Hegde, and will subsequently move to Rajamouli's sets early next year. While Tamil actor Karthi, who was previously seen in ManiRatnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan,' will next be seen in 'Sardar,' the theatrical trailer for which is now available.
