Juhi Chawla has been working in the film industry for almost 40 years, making Hush Hush her first OTT appearance. She has collaborated with many actors and filmmakers over the years and even witnessed their children grow up and enter the industry. In the meantime, Juhi talked about how she's seen the youngsters develop into movie stars in an interview and said that they put in a lot of effort, just like everyone else.
Juhi discussed Varun Dhawan, the son of director David Dhawan, Suhana Khan, the daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, and Kiara Advani, her childhood friend's daughter. “Suhana and all have also grown up in front of us. It’s amazing to see them. Not just Suhana, there are so many of them. When I first shot with David Ji in Swarg (1990), they (David’s son, actor Varun, and director Rohit Dhawan) were kids. Now they have all become movie stars, so it’s just wonderful to see how talented they are”, she remarked.
The actress continued by expressing her admiration for the fact that these famous youngsters don't take their privilege for granted. “All of them really work hard. None of them takes it lightly that I am a star kid so I’ll just arrive on sets and things will happen. A lot of them really work hard. It’s beautiful. But I can never say who is my favourite. All these kids I have seen growing up.”
Varun Dhawan made his film debut in 2012 with Karan Johar's Student of the Year. Since then, he has worked in movies like October and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, gaining both commercial and critical success. In the meantime, he most recently appeared in JugJugg Jeeyo with Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Maniesh Paul, Neetu Kapoor, and Prajakta Koli. He is working on a few interesting projects, including Bawaal with Janhvi Kapoor and Bhediya with Kriti Sanon.
Suhana, on the other hand, has formally begun production on her debut Bollywood movie. She has been cast in Zoya Akhtar's next Netflix film The Archies, where she will make her acting debut alongside Khushi Kapoor, the younger daughter of the late Sridevi, and Agastya Nanda, the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan.
Speaking of Hush Hush, Soha Ali Khan, Shahana Goswami, Kritika Kamra, and Ayesha Jhulka are also featured on the Tanuja Chandra program. The movie started streaming on September 22.
