Challenging Star Darshan is currently busy with the filming of his upcoming historical drama Gandugali Madakari Nayaka. Directed by Rajendra Sigh Babu, this film is the biopic of historical Kannada ruler of the same name. The filming of this movie started a few months back in Kerala. The makers have shot an extensive schedule near Athirepally Waterfalls of Kerala last month. Now, they are gearing up to start the next schedule in Hyderabad. Popular senior actress Sumalatha will be joining the sets from this schedule. The film unit is extremely happy to have her on board for the film.
The sources confirmed that Sumalatha is playing the role of Rajamatha in this film. She will be acting as the mother of Darshan in it. The makers felt that she will be the pat choice for the role. As Sumalatha shares a good bonding with Darshan, she accepted the offer without any hesitation. We all are already aware that Darshan also campaigned for Sumalatha during last year's Parliamentary elections. The next schedule of Gandugali Madakari Nayaka will begin in the Ramoji Film City of Hyderabad. The arrangements for the same are currently underway. The film unit is ready to finish this schedule in less number of days.
Rockline Venkatesh is bankrolling the project with a huge budget. He stated that he wants to make this film a memorable one in Kannada cinema. Gandugali Madakari Nayaka will hit the screens either towards the end of this year or early next year.
