Sumanth signs the remake of Malayalam gangster comedy movie

Post Malli Raava, hero Sumanth is preferring to do new age concepts and also looking out for remake subjects.

Last year, he came up with Idam Jagath and Subrahmanyapuram. Even though both had good plot-lines, they failed to click well at the box office. Now, he is gearing up to start his new project which is a remake of Malayalam hit Padayottam.
Debutant Vinu Yagna will be directing this movie. Newcomer Aima is the leading lady of the film. Tammineni Janardhan Rao and Sharma Chukka will bankroll it under the banners East India Talkies and The Mantra Entertainments. The shoot will go on floors on December 15.
Padayottam is a Malayalam gangster comedy that had Biju Menon in the lead role. It was a big hit in Kerala and the Telugu makers are hoping that the remake version will get the same result as well.
Sumanth, in his second innings, is trying not to make any mistake as he did in the past by choosing bad scripts. As his previous two movies could not do well at the box-office, Sumanth is taking great care of his current movie.
