Sunny Deol Speaks On Whether Critic Reviews Effect a Film's Box Office: Actual Moviegoers Are Not Looking The Views

With a five-decade long career, Sunny Deol is one among the most admired performers in Indian film. Numerous famous films starring the actor have gone on to receive awards and establish themselves as some of India's biggest box office successes. He is in a phase in his career where he is rediscovering himself and exploring various film genres. Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, a movie he also directed and starred his son Karan Deol in, was not well received. The actor is now preparing for the 23rd September 2022 release of Chup, a film starring Dulquer Salmaan, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and directed by R Balki.

In a recent interview, Sunny Deol was asked if he was affected by critic reviews and if they had any bearing on the movie's chances and box office. In response to the opening portion of the query, the Gadar actor stated, "I think they are doing their job, whatever they have to do, like we are acting, and they have the rights to talk good-bad about us. And as I mentioned before, when we first enter this sector, we get quite sensitive, passionate, and upset about it. Over time, you learn not to take that seriously." Sunny Deol's statement was supported by Dulquer Salmaan, who also acknowledged that he had had similar feelings when he first entered the industry and his films received poor reviews. He is now at peace with negative feedback and thinks that it will only make him a better person. In response to the second query, Sunny Deol stated, "I don't believe it to be much of a thing since I believe actual moviegoers aren't looking at the reviews. The reason a viewer watches a movie is not because of what someone else says; rather, it may be inferred from the trailer that he will want to enter the theater and leave after seeing it. That is what makes movies beautiful". Dulquer praised Sunny by remarking that moviegoers know what to watch and what not to watch and choose which movies to see. He added that sincere reviews wouldn't be too far from those from the audience. The R Balki thriller Chup, which will hit theaters on September 23, is based on a filmmaker's retaliation against movie reviewers. In addition to working on a few intriguing projects, Dulquer is relishing the popularity of his movie Sita Ramam. As for Sunny Deol, he will appear in the eagerly anticipated Gadar 2 sequel in addition to a few more action multistarrers.
