Mithun Chakraborty, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, and Jackie Shroff had been enlisted by Ahmed Khan and Zee Studio for a supersized action movie. A new Expendables is being attempted to be made, according to the source, by reuniting the action actors of the 1980s. This highly anticipated film is reportedly titled Baap. Chakraborty, Dutt, and Shroff had already begun filming when Sunny Deol was added to the cast.
Sunny will begin filming in Mumbai this week for Baap. He is looking forward to filming with his buddies Mithun Chakraborty, Sanjay Dutt, and Jackie Shroff over the course of a month. In the meantime, there will be a couple more surprises in the film that will be revealed over time. According to a source familiar with the project, their action sequences are produced on a grand scale and should be anticipated.
Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are now working on Gadar 2 with Anil Sharma. The movie is expected to be finished by November, at which point he will begin filming Apne 2 with his father Dharmendra, brother Bobby Deol, and son Karan Deol early the following year.
Next up for Jackie Shroff is the movie Phone Bhoot, which also stars Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ishaan Khatter. A strong lineup awaits Mithun Chakraborty and Sanjay Dutt as well.
In addition to Baap, Ahmed Khan is directing Shraddha Kapoor in Pankaj Parashar's Chaalbaaz, which is being produced in London.
