Superman is undoubtedly one of the most easily recognizable heroes there has ever been. Representing America itself, DC's beloved superhero has seen many different iterations in the comic book run over the past decades. One of the most unique ones yet comes in the Red Sun storyline.
Superman: Red Son follows the story of a young Kal-el (Superman) born in Russia instead of America. His morals and values are thus solidified by Russian propaganda and he even wears a Soviet Union flag on his chest. The film also features the Green Lantern corpse in the trailer alongside other beloved heroes like Wonder Woman and Batman.
The film seems to be hinting towards cold war imagery throughout to create tension. However, in a short glimpse, we see Batman and even the Green Lantern fighting Superman.
Superman: Red Son is being made by WBHE and takes direct inspiration from the 2003 Elsewhere comics. This film may release in early 2020.
