Kamal Haasan and Lokesh Kanakaraj’s film Vikram is making waves all over India. The film also stars Fahad Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi and Narain in lead roles. Actor Suriya played the villainous role of Rolex in the film.
Now, director Lokesh shares his experience when he told Suriya about the role of Rolex. Lokesh and Anirudh Ravichandran had come to Thrissur following Vikram's huge victory in Kerala. Lokesh was speaking to reporters at a press meet in Thrissur.
“I can't tell you how Rolex's character will change in the next movie. A developed character of Dilli can be seen anyway. When I went to talk about Rolex's character, I thought Suriya would not do it. But within a day of talking about the character, he said yes at night;” said Lokesh Kangaraj.
Lokesh added that Suriya said two things. “Suriya said two main things to me. Being a big fan of Kamal Sir, Suriya struggled to understand the role of the villain against him. Two, Suriya himself needed a change. He also wanted a different character. After thinking about all this, Suriya himself told me if not now, when. So Rolex agreed to do the character. Suriya will be a strong character in the third part;” said Lokesh.
Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran produce the film under the banner of Rajkamal Films International. Anirudh Ravichandran composed the music for the film Vikram. Gireesh Gangadharan is the cinematographer. Lokesh Kanakaraj and Ratnakumar wrote the dialogues for the film.
