Suriya took to twitter to appreciate Aishwarya Manivannan's on Silambam

Aishwarya Manivannan is a Silamban practitioner. Silambam is a traditional martial art. In a short film titled Silambam, Aishwarya Manivannan talks about her journey in a field dominated by men. She talks about the art form, her training and what the art form means to her. She also talks about the art form's history; how it came to be a performance art form. Actor Suriya took to Twitter to talk about "Silambam."

You can stream Silamban on YouTube. The short film is available on the channel Virtual Bharat. Aishwarya Manivannan also posted a snippet on her Instagram celebrating International Silambam Day. She captioned it, "In celebration of International Silambam Day and Tamil New Year, follow my Silambam journey with @vitrualbharat by @bharatbala. A 3000-year-old traditional martial art, that has grounded me and given me strength. I hope the film inspires young Indians to find peace in this powerful practice. Meanwhile, Suriya is looking forward to appearing in the film Soorarai Potter. Soorarai Pottru is an action drama film directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga. The film was to hit the theatres on April 9th. However, the film release now stands postponed owing to the coronavirus. The film is rumored to hit the theatres in August 2020.
