The trailer of Suriya’s Jai Bhim is out. Makers released the trailer through their official social media accounts. Suriya will play the role of a lawyer in the film directed by TS Gnanavel. The film is set to release on November 2 on Amazon Prime. The movie is said to have been inspired by real-life events that happened in the 90s.
The trailer reveals that Suriya plays a hero who fights for the rights of the tribal community. Suriya takes up the case of an Adivasi woman in the film. The trailer indicates that the film will surely be a socio-political drama.
In the trailer, Suriya's lawyer Chandru leads a protest on the courthouse grounds. He's working on a case that big-shot lawyers in the High Court regarded as worthless.
Talking about the film, Suriya had said that “The film focuses mostly on human rights and values. “When this story was narrated to me, it tugged at my heartstrings. The narrative of Jai Bhim represents extraordinary strength and, most importantly, the value of human rights,” said Suriya.
Journalist and filmmaker Gnanavel himself writes the script for the film. Rajisha Vijayan, Prakash Raj, Manikandan and Lijomol play other major roles. Suriya produces the film under the banner of his 2D entertainment.
