Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar's 'Saand Ki Aankh' movie is indeed a game-changer

Based on the lives of India’s oldest sharpshooters, Chandro and Prakash from Johri village in Uttar Pradesh, 'Saand Ki Aankh' finally got screened at MAMI and has been receiving a thumping response from the audience. The film stars Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead.

Tushar's way of handling the script is simply superb. The way he dealt with elements like gender inequality and women empowerment is mind-blowing and will leave an impact on the audience. The first thing to rave about this movie will definitely be the flawless performances which took the film to the next level. These two glamorous heroines have delivered their career-best returns in the film. Though both of them have done de-glamorous roles and proved their mettle, their characters in this film are unique, and also it is a quite rare phenomenon for only two ladies to take over a movie and actually impress the audience. The prosthetic makeup is good but looked artificial in some scenes. Though Vineet Kumar's role doesn't have much scope for performance, he did a good job. Prakash Jha's effortless performance deserves credit too. There are also some minus points in the film, which will be the narration as it is extremely slow-paced in some parts of the film. The editing could have been crispier.

Music is superb and is like a backbone to the film. Overall, 'Saand Ki Aankh' is a must-watch family entertainer for the audience of every age group. The film is a celebration of womanhood as the audience will leave the theatres with a big smile on their faces.
