A few weeks ago, the paparazzi caught Bollywood diva Taapsee Pannu out and about in the city. A video of the actress becoming irritated and lecturing the paparazzi went popular on social media. The paparazzi were seen holding the car door open as Taapsee entered her vehicle in the video. Taapsee informed the paparazzi "aise mat karo" while displaying her annoyance. The actress responded to this in a recent interview, saying that while she is frequently characterized as arrogant, all she is asking for is common decency and respect for personal space. She claimed that it violated her right to privacy.
In an interview with India Today, Taapsee commented on the viral video saying, “It does bother me because, after a point, I realized that they are doing it knowing they are going to irk me. Why will you hold my car’s door when I have gotten in? This is intruding on my private space. Imagine if you are getting into your car and some people have held the car door and not letting you shut the door and shoving the camera in your face, will you like it? Any person, regardless of being a girl or boy, would you like it?”
She continued by saying that she doesn't have any protection and that the paparazzi are free to push their cameras in her face and not offer her any breathing room just because they are a public figure. She then retaliated after being called "arrogant" by the media for her initial reaction. She said, “If I'm arrogant to ask for basic human respect of space, then please call me arrogant, but I will not just try to sugar-coat and be this good girl because I'm in front of this camera. I am not that person. You get what you see".
She also stated that she is well-known for her work in front of the camera and that she will never perform in front of other cameras. She added, “Whatever people know me for is for what I do in front of the movie camera. I'm not an influencer. I am not performing in front of any other camera. I don't want to, as well".
Taapsee Pannu was most recently seen in the Zee5 film 'Blurr'. The movie also features Abhilash Thapaliyal and Gulshan Devaiah in addition to Taapsee. Blurr is also Taapsee's first production. She will soon be featured in Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan and Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan.
