Taapsee Pannu's Haseen Dillruba skips theatrical release to directly land on Netflix on July 2nd

Amid the ongoing pandemic and lockdown situations that are prevalent in many states, filmmakers are skipping theatrical releases and directly landing their films on OTT platforms. The recent one to announce the same is the makers of Haseen Dillruba, starring Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey.

Taapsee took to her social media to share the few seconds look teaser of the film followed by the Netflix logo. "Kahani Aashiqana. Raaz Katilana. #HaseenDillruba coming soon. Only on Netflix. #TheUltimateKaunspiracy," she wrote.

Haseen Dillruba was earlier slated to release in September 2020, however the makers decided to postpone the release because of the ongoing coronavirus crisis. Now, Haseen Dillruba is going to be released on July 2nd on Netflix. Earlier this week, Dhanush's Jagame Thandiram dropped the trailer of the film which will be releasing on 18th June. Not just these, Netflix has two more big releases in the coming months. For instance, Suriya's Navarasa to release in August and Kartik Aaryan's Dhamaka to release in September. Haseen Dillruba is directed by Vinil Mathew who's earlier known for directing Hasee Toh Phasee. Besides Taapsee and Vikrant, Haseen Dillruba also stars Harvardhan Rane and Hansika Motwani.
