We all know how hard the coronavirus pandemic has hit the film industry. All the shoots got canceled, film releases got postponed and theaters got shut down due to this pandemic. Every day, the film industry is witnessing a huge loss of income. As the situation got better now, the industry members want to resume the shoots. They have sought permission from the Telangana government regarding the same. After meeting a few industry big wigs earlier this morning, Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav took a few key decisions. He said that the film shootings may resume from June. The final decision will get taken in a few days.
Producers C. Kalyan, Dil Raju, and a few other film industry members have met Talasani Srinivas Yadav this morning. They requested his permission to shoot films. They have assured that the measures will get taken to avoid the spread of COVID-19. They have also promised that all the filmmakers will follow the guidelines of the government.
After discussing with them, Talasani said that the shoots may resume from June or July. He said that the shoots will happen under a few guidelines. Talasani has also added that the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments will take a final decision after assessing the conditions in the coming days.
Today, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is holding a cabinet meeting to asses the situation of COVID-19 in the state. Talasani may put the film industry's request in front of CM. We have to wait for KCR's decision on it
