After many delays, Silambarasam aka Simbu's upcoming film Maanaadu went on floors a few days back in Chennai. The actor is sporting a new look in the film. He shaved his mustache and is sporting a trimmed beard, giving us a look of a typical Muslim. Simbu is playing the role of a Muslim leader called Abdul Khaaliq in this movie.
Maanaadu is being directed by Venkat Prabhu who earlier made films like Goa, Saroja, Mankatha and Biriyani. This film was actually supposed to go on floors long back but got postponed several times due to many reasons. At one point in time, it was also reported that Simbu is not part of it anymore. Finally, all the things got sorted out and Simbu is back in the project.
The actor's look got revealed when he attended a cultural event called 'Nakshatra 2020' at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College last night. The audience fell in love with his makeover and trending his pictures on social media.
Maanaadu features Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead. This is her second Tamil film after Hero. SJ Suryah, Manoj Bharathiraja, Daniel Pope, Y. Gee Mahendra is playing the other key roles in this movie. It is being bankrolled by V House Productions.
