Tamilnadu leaders demand to ban Kajal Agarwal’s movies
Actors at times fall prey to the continuous media scrutiny over their lives. They tend to be choosy with the statements they make as everything they say and do is right under the eyes of ardent fans and media. On this note, actors invite unnecessary controversies unintentionally with the comments they make on certain burning issues publicly or on social media. And if politics is involved, the actors have to face dire consequences.
One of the leading actresses in Tollywood, Kajal Agarwal is now on the same page inviting criticism over her comments on Vivek Oberoi’s tweet which unveiled the poster of the latest biopic "PM Narendra Modi”. Kajal seems to be the longtime friend of Vivek who took to Twitter to convey her support saying ”Whoa!! Vivek!! This Looks incredible. Cannot wait to watch. good luck to the entire team, I'm sure this is going to excel.”
The tweet clearly intended to congratulate Vivek and Kajal didn’t take any political reference, however, the actress received a heated response from the people of Tamilnadu who asked her to apologize for supporting BJP discursively. Anti-BJP leaders in the State has taken another step demanding that Kajal's films should be banned in their state.
Vivek Oberoi on the other hand, responded to the comment saying: ”Thank you so much @MsKajalAggarwal. I’m so touched by your support! At a time like this when we are fighting to release our film, I wish more people from our fraternity showed their support.” However, Kajal remained tight-lipped over the issue.
The Supreme Court recently dismissed a Congress leader's petition seeking to stop the release of this biopic on Modi, saying "too much of court time is wasted on these non-issues".
