Ever since the success of director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahad Fazil starrer 'Vikram', fans have appreciated how Lokesh has created a universe of his own by neatly integrating the characters he made in his previous film 'Khaithi'. Like the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Hollywood, it is also called the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). Not only did young director Lokesh successfully bring in Vikram the characters he created in 'Khaithi,’ but he also tied the story of Kamal Haasan's 1986 film 'Vikram' to applause.
Interestingly, Suriya is also integrated into this universe to create a new character, Rolex. Lokesh Kanagaraj is confirmed to team up with Vijay again after 'Master' for 'Talapathy 67.’ Reports suggest that this film too might be a part of his cinematic universe.
In a recent interview with an English daily, he neither denied nor confirmed the question of whether 'Talapati 67' will feature in his cinematic universe. At the same time, he said he would talk about it once the production company made an official announcement. If 'Thalapati 67' lands in Lokesh's cinematic universe, it will be interesting to see onscreen whether the film will integrate Lokesh's previous films 'Khaithi' and 'Vikram' or will be a part of another universe and only integrated with 'Master'. While fans eagerly await this film’s announcement, actor Vijay is currently acting in 'Thalapathy 66’ along with Vamsi Baidipalli. Thalapathy 66 is expected to hit the screens in January 2023.
