Thalapathy Vijay Pays Full Entry Tax For His Rolls-Royce Ghost Car

Thalapathy Vijay has been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. His old case came for hearing last year. Vijay had sought exemption from entry tax for his imported Rolls-Royce Ghost car. The case was heard and justice SM Subramanian slammed the actor for no abiding by the law. After passing scathing remarks, the judge fined him Rs 1 lakh. A part of his order read, "Tax evasion is to be construed as an anti-national habit, attitude and mindset and unconstitutional. These actors are portraying themselves as champions to bring social justice to society. Their pictures are against corrupt activities in society. But, they are evading tax and acting in a manner, which is not in consonance with the provisions of the statutes."
