Thalapathy Vijay is currently awaiting the release of his 64th film Master. The movie was originally slated for the release on April 9. However, it got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the speculations already started about the actor's 65th film. If the latest grapevine is anything to go by, Vijay will work with AR Murugadoss for his next.
Both Vijay and Murugadoss have worked together for the films Thuppakki, Kaththi, and Sarkar. All three of them became highly successful at the box office. Now, they are teaming up for this fourth joint venture. According to the sources, Santosh Sivan will handle the cinematography of this movie. Thaman will compose the music. Malayalam beauty Madonna Sebastian will play an important role in it. An official announcement about the film will get released very soon. Initially, it got reported that Vijay asked for a remuneration of Rs. 100 crores for this project. But the makers wanted him to cut the remuneration. They wanted to reduce the budget in the wake of the pandemic. Recently, they held talks with Vijay. The actor agreed to cut off his payment. Now, all things got sorted and the movie is good to go on the floors.
On the flip side, the Master will hit the screens only after the reopening of theaters. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, this movie features Vijay Sethupathi as the villain. Malavika Mohanan is playing the female lead in it.
