Jyotika is on a roll as she has been continuously signing films in multiple genres. Her last film Jackpot with director Kalyan was a full-blown commercial venture. The actress is now waiting for the release of her upcoming film, Thambi.
Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film is a family drama with thriller elements. The makers of Thambi released the film's teaser on social media and it grabbed a lot of eyeballs for its gritty and interesting content.
Karthi plays a con-artist who has multiple names. He is a criminal on the loose and plays Jyotika's lost brother. In a small village, Jyotika and her father Sathyaraj are waiting for Karthi to turn up. When he does, his life changes as Jyotika says love will change everything.
Karthi undergoes a physical makeover and we can see him taking on a much bigger villain. He is bashing up goons for his sister. The film, which has music by 96 fame Govind Vasantha will release sometime in December.
