The final trailer of Star Wars just dropped on YouTube. The Rise of Skywalker movie will bid goodbye to the Star Wars franchise which started in 1977 and created a worldwide fan base for 32 years.
In this part, the surviving Resistance faces the First Order once more with Rey, Finn and Poe Dameron’s journey continues. With the power and knowledge of generations behind them, the final battle commences.
According to AMC Theatres, the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker runtime is a whopping 155 minutes. That’s 2 hours and 35 minutes of Star Wars goodness, which makes it the longest Star Wars movie yet—besting The Last Jedi (a movie that is Good, Actually) by three minutes. Its ensemble cast includes Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Naomi Ackie, Domhnall Gleeson, Richard E. Grant, Lupita Nyong’o, Keri Russell, Joonas Suotamo, Kelly Marie Tran, Ian McDiarmid, and Billy Dee Williams.
The film is being produced by Lucasfilm and Bad Robot Productions and distribution by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Directed by J. J. Abrams the film is set to release on December 20, 2019.
