Written by Mitchell and Thomas and directed by Marcos Siega, the story follows the lives of a mother and her sons when they move to the town where she grew up. The local kids in the town exhibit strange behaviors such as sleeping in the day and staying up at night. Also, these kids don’t seem to grow old.
Based on the 1987 Warner Bros. movie, Cook plays Garrett, the older of the two brothers. In the movie, the role got played by Jason Patric and his character’s name was Michael.
Younes plays Benjamin, the leader of the vampires in the town. Benjamin is a version of the character David played by Kiefer Sutherland in the movie.
Cruz plays Elsie. Elsie is a version of Jami Gertz’s character named Star in the movie.
Younes recently featured in the ABC series Grand Hotel produced by Eva Longoria. He is also known for starring in shows like Home and Away, Tangle, and Hiding.
Cook recently graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He will star in Lena Dunham’s upcoming HBO series Industry.
Cruz became famous for playing a young Lizzy Caplan on the second season of Hulu’s Castle Rock. She is also in production on HBO Max’s Mare of Easttown with Kate Winslet.
Heather Mitchell and Rob Thomas are the writers and executive producers of the new pilot. Thomas will executive produce with Dan Etheridge under the banner Spondoolie Productions. While Marcos Siega directed, she also was an executive producer. Mike Karz and Bill Bindley will also executive produce under the banner of Gulfstream Television. Juliana Janes of Gulfstream and Rebecca Franko of Spondoolie will produce. The series comes from Warner Bros. Television. The film “The Lost Boys” was also released by Warner Bros. Pictures.
