Theatres continue to remain shut down; Confusion grows on fate of unreleased Telugu movies

With the theatres remain closed, there is a huge dilemma about the new movie releases. As per the latest reports, there is no chance to witness the re-opening of the film theatres until October. A lot of people are actually hoping that the theatres will be on full-in-action mode from next year. However, a lot of producers are upset and confused about the fate of their movies that are ready for the release. We have some medium range movies in Telugu that hit a road block, of not deciding between a theatrical release and a OTT release.

Anushka Shetty's Nishabdham, Ram Pothineni's RED, Vaishnav Tej's Uppena, Nani's V and Pradeep's 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela are the films on the waiting list. Some of these films has a craze while some of the same lack the buzz. However, the producers of these movies are still on a wait and watch mode. Except for Bhanumathi & Ramya Krishnan, and Krishna and His Leela, no other film gained a positive reception, when released on OTT platform.

The producers are receiving less deals from the streaming platforms because of which they are not able to decide on selling their films away. However, a final confirmation will arrive soon.
