There Was Not Even An Audition, And They Decided That I Was Good Enough To Do The Role; Anju Joseph On Her Entry To Film.

Anju Joseph is a singer who is well known to the Malayalam audience through reality shows. Anju also has a strong presence in the field of playback singing. The movie entry of the star is being discussed now.

Anju Joseph is making her debut in the film world with Suraj Venjarammoodu's Roy directed by Sunil Abraham. Anju will play the role of a singer in the film.

Anju Joseph says that her film entry was completely unexpected. “Sunilika’s (Sunil Abraham) associate Bipin is my friend. Bipin once asked me there is a new film coming up and if I wanted to act. I immediately said, "Oh, why not?" said Anju.

Anju says that she did not take it seriously until Bipin decided on the schedule and informed it after a while. “They didn’t even ask for an audition, they decided I was good enough to do that role;” says Anju. Anju added that she was surprised by their decision.

Her first scene was with actor Vijesh. “It was a small scene. The director said that director Sunil Abraham and his colleagues were very supportive;” Anju added. She also said that she had been invited to films by directors including Kamal. But she wanted to go ahead with singing and this role was unexpected.

Yesterday the makers had released a song from the film Roy. The song 'Arikin Arikil' is getting great response from the audience. Gopi Sunder composed the music for the lyrics of Vinayak Sasikumar.
