When the first trailer for the new Top Gun came out in July it announced itself as a love letter for all aviators. The film released its second trailer yesterday and it is just as special as the first one. Top Gun: Maverick sees Peter Maverick Mitchell returning to the base camp to train future aspiring candidates.
The trailer sees Maverick making fun of getting invited once again to the camp. He got corrected by Lieutenant Bradley Bradshaw who says that these are orders. Bradshaw is actually the son of Goose. Goose was a partner of Maverick in the first film who dies by the end of the original film.
To no one's surprise, the trailer was filled to the brim with dogfights and aerial acrobatics. There also seems to be some tension regarding the new recruits and Tom Cruise's character in the film. This film will be distributed by Paramount and directed by Joseph Kosinski.
The film also stars Miles Teller, Val Kilmer, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, and Ed Harris among others.
