Trade this week: Brochevarevurara triumphs while Kalki disappoints
This week, five films have released in the theatres to test their luck at the box-office. Kalki: Rajasekhar’s recent outing Kalki is expected to be impressive as his previous film PSV Garuda Vega. Sadly, director Prashanth Varma disappointed the audience with an underwhelming script. The movie has opened to a lukewarm response at the box-office from day one and didn’t show any sign of improvement over the weekend. Kalki will end up as disaster at the box-office
Brochevarevarura is the dark horse this week. The movie has opened to good reviews and solid word of mouth from the audience. Though promotions and publicity are not up to the mark the film has picked up extremely well in the second and third days. On a whole Brochevarevarura had an impressive first weekend and it is expected to continue the same momentum
Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh is setting the box office on fire. The film has registered the second best weekend collections. Soon, the film will be the best-grossed film of this year crossing the collections of Uri: The Surgical Strike.
Ayushmann Khurrana has once again proved that he picks the best script. His film, Article 15, is receiving positive reviews from the audience.
Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya has really surprised the audience and trade. This small film is a true winner at box office proving content is the king. Movie has surpassed $250K mark in US, which is great achievement for a small film of this scale.
