Trisha Krishnan to join Mani Ratnam's dream project
Senior actress Trisha Krishnan is currently working hard on making a successful comeback to the movies and in the process, she signed the project Ponniyan Selvan, directed by Mani Ratnam.
Maverick director is currently gearing up to start shooting for his dream project Ponniyun Slevan. The film's story has the basis of the legendary Tamil novel of the same name. Mani is planning to rope in a huge star cast for the film. Names like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aravind Swamy, Mohan Babu, and Keerthy Suresh have come up as the main cast of the film.
According to the latest reports from Kollywood, star actress Trisha
is also acting in the film. Earlier, there were reports about Trisha's inclusion in the film but soon, it got buzzed off. Now, the sources claim that the actress is very much part of the film. This will be Trisha's second film with Mani Ratnam, after Aaytha Ezhuthu (Yuva in Telugu).
Trisha's career is not going so well right now. Her last major film was Rajinikanth's Petta. Thus, acting in this huge multi starer project might help her to revive her stardom. The sources have also confirmed that Amitabh Bachchan is not acting in the film. However, Aishwarya Rai is doing it. Currently, Mani, along with his main crew, is doing a location recce in Thailand. The shoot will kickstart in early 2020 and the film will release in 2021.
