On the professional front, Trisha is presently filming for her upcoming movie, "The Road". It will be helmed by Arun Vaseegaran. The movie began filming in April. The actress released the first look poster for it on Diwali. As per reports, the teaser will soon be released. With a gun, the actress in the poster strikes a menacing pose. Fans will first get to see Trisha in an action role after "Thoongavanam" in "The Road". Before finalising the script, director Arun disclosed in a media interview that the movie was based on actual occurrences. Also he had spent over three years researching the subject. According to reports, the movie's plot is based on a real incident that occurred on the Madurai highway. It was noted that actress Trisha made a significant commitment to the project. She also claimed to have acted in hazardous locations and acknowledged that it was challenging.
