As the lockdown has been imposed once again and there is a surge in cases of COVID-19 in the country many filmmakers are planning to release their films on digital platforms
As lockdown has been imposed in the country for the second time theatres have been shut once again and all the film industries have stalled the work they have been doing for a long time now. Many films in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam were slated for release in 2020 but couldn't hit The theatres because of the pandemic.
And when the theatres have opened in December 2020, only big-budget films have made it to the theatres, and again by March due to the second wave of Covid 19, theatres were shut once again. So these films which had to release in 2020 are unable to make it to the theatres in 2021 as well and so the producers, directors, and cast of many of such films are eyeing on OTTs.
As per the latest reports, two more movies from the Telugu film industry are said to be releasing on digital platforms. Gopichand and Tamannah Bhatia's Seeti Maar which is directed by Sampath Nandi and Priya Prakash Varrier and Teja Sajja's Ishq are likely to release on OTTs. News about both these films releasing on digital platforms sans theatrical release is going viral on social media for a few days now. Well, the makers of these films are yet to make an official announcement.
