On Sunday, Uppalapati Krishnam Raju, who was best recognized for his contributions to the Telugu film industry, passed away at the age of 83. The deceased actor was Prabhas's uncle. South actors paid tribute to the late actor shortly after the news surfaced. Many major celebrities from the south industry took to social media to pay tribute to one of the finest actors from the Telugu industry. Prominent stars including Megastar Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Anushka Shetty, and Junior NTR paid their tribute.

On his Twitter account, Mahesh Babu posted a sad message that read,

Uppalapati Krishnam Raju, also known as Rebel Star, has appeared in more than 183 movies, including Rangoon Rowdy, Sati Savitri, Jeevana Tarangalu, and Krishnaveni. The late actor's wife and three daughters are still alive.
