Vanitha Vijayakumar is known for controversies. Last year, she announced her third marriage during the Covid-19 lockdown. She got married to filmmaker Peter Paul in a Christian wedding ceremony, which took place at her home in Chennai. Soon after the wedding, Peter's first wife caused mayhem and they were at the war of words. Last year, Vanitha announced separation from Peter Paul and has been single ever since. She is living with her daughters Jayanitha and Jovika. Meanwhile, rumours are doing the rounds that the actress has fallen in love again.

Reports suggested that she is going to marry for the fourth time. However, Vanitha Vijayakumar took to Twitter to put an end to the speculations. She wrote,
