Varisu, a highly anticipated movie starring Thalapathy Vijay, will open in theatres on Pongal. Yes, the movie's distributors made an official announcement on social media that the bilingual movie will open in theatres this Pongal on January 12, 2023. As Ajith Kumar's Thunivu is also scheduled for Pongal release, there would be a significant clash at the Tamil box office as a result of this.
Along with the official release date, a fresh poster of Vijay holding a cup of tea and looking dapper has been released. The movie will be available in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.

According to rumours, Bhushan Kumar paid Rs 5 crore to secure the music rights of Thalapathy Vijay's significant Pongal 2023 release, Varisu. For the Hindi version of the movie, Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, and Manish Shah have teamed together. “While Manish Shah has the dubbing rights, the Hindi version of Varisu will see the association of T Series and Sri Venkateswara Creations. The two studios in the past have worked together on HIT: The First Case and there are many more films in the pipeline,” a source revealed. Vaaris is the probable name for the Hindi adaptation.
The Telugu and Tamil versions of Ranjithame, the first single from the family drama Varisu starring Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, have been released. Audiences have been responding enthusiastically to the song because of its upbeat melody and hot chemistry.
Rashmika Mandanna will star alongside Vijay in Varisu, which was directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Khushbu, Sangeetha, Yogi Babu, and Samyuktha will play supporting parts. Under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, Dil Raju and Sirish produced the film.
