After much anticipation, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has begun filming Citadel, his web debut project. The huge film from the Russo Brothers will be released in both English and Hindi. Raj and DK, who directed The Family Man, will serve as the Hindi film's filmmakers.
VD sent his Instagram fans and followers an update on Tuesday. The Kalank actor posted a selfie of himself giving a rug look. Varun may be seen in the picture with dirt on his face and a bleeding nose. He appeared to be going for a fast-paced action scene. The actor captioned the image on Instagram, "It's been a ruff night. Day 3. India Citadel”.
The actor added, “Prime Video is like home to me, and I am thrilled to begin this journey in the streaming space with them. Citadel is an exceptionally ambitious and exciting franchise, and to be part of this magnificent universe, conceptualized by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO and Jennifer Salke, is a landmark moment in my career. I have been a big fan of their work and I am beyond thrilled to be a part of this project and can’t wait to start shooting it. The storyline of the Indian Citadel chapter is fantastic, and when you have creators like Raj & DK on board, one can be certain that a spectacle is in the making”.
Varun Dhawan and South superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu will star in the next Prime Video series.
On the professional front, the 35-year-old actor most recently appeared in the Dinesh Vijan-produced film Bhediya, which was directed by Amar Kaushik. In addition to Citadel India, Varun is working on the movie Bawaal with Janhvi Kapoor.
