The year 2020 till now hasn't been so good. It started with the virus, which led to worldwide lockdown. Due to the increasing cases, the lockdown is now extended till June 30th. However, some movement is now allowed which is being called unlock 1. Along with the virus, India has also faced, earthquake, blasts, cyclone, and the people are wondering what's next. Varun Dhawan recently uploaded a few photos urging people to step in and help our doctors, police force, and front line warriors. He shared a comparison between the 1920 pandemic and 2020 one.

 
Varun captioned the post saying, "1920 & 2020 The world has been through this before. We have to help our doctors, police force and front line warriors. Based on Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data. India 2020 population is estimated at 1,380,004,385 people at mid-year according to UN data. India population is equivalent to 17.7% of the total world population. We all have to take responsibility."
 
The 1920 pandemic was the Spanish flu. It was a deadly influenza pandemic caused by H1N1 influenza a virus. The virus lasted for almost a year and a half. The virus started around February 1918 and went on till April 1920. The death toll was a lot, it had an estimated 17 million to 50 million, and possibly as high as 100 million. The largest factor in all of this was the increase in travel.
 
On the work front, Varun will be working in Coolie No 1 with Sara Ali Khan. The film is by David Dhawan. It is a remake of the 1995 film of the same name starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. It was set to release on May 1 but due to COVID-19, it is now postponed.
