Director Venkatesh Maha shot to fame with his maiden flick C/o Kancherapalem. This little indie-flick made a big noise in the industry and became a success at the box office. After a gap of more than one and a half years, Venkatesh Maha is now coming up with his new film Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya. Satya Dev is playing the lead role in this movie. It will hit the screens on April 17. Meanwhile, Venkatesh Maha explained why he chose this title for the film through a social media post.
He wrote, "Uma Maheshwara means Maheshwara (Lord Shiva) accompanied by Uma (Goddess Parvati). He is a peace-minded soul. Just like the hero in our film. Thus, I named our hero as Uma Maheshwara Rao. What happens if that peaceful soul gets angry forms the story of this film."
"Ugra Roopasya is a Sanskrit word which means fierce-avatar. As the film is about the fierce-avatar of Uma Maheswar Rao, I named it as Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya," he added.
Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya is an official remake of Malayalam hit Maheshinte Prathikaram. This film is being produced jointly by Vijaya Praveena Paruchuri, Shobu Yarlagadda, and Prasad Devineni. Bijibal has composed the music of this film.
Venkatesh Maha's debut film C/O Kancharapalem gets remade in Tamil now. The film unit already launched the teaser of the movie recently. Titled C/O Kaadhal, the teaser opened to a positive response. Even Venkatesh Maha wrote about the film's teaser and praised the film unit.
