Shakti Kapoor is spending all his time in isolation with his family. The veteran actor has starred in countless films in the past few decades. He is now ready to pay more heed to his family and rest at home. In a recent interview with ETimes, Shakti Kapoor has opened up about his relationship with his children.
Shakti Kapoor said that his daughter Shraddha Kapoor holds a special place in his heart. He added saying, "Shraddha has always been very close to my heart. I have always treated women at a very high level of respectability – from my mother to my sisters to my daughter to my wife. I feel she is blessed. She is a very talented and lovely human being. She as a girl who speaks from her heart is a very fair girl. She will never lie. She is not a cheat. She is like her mother, very pure. Same is my son, Siddhant. He is a very good human being. I am worried when he will settle down. I tell my children, stardom is a very bad intoxication. So it has to be always in your control. I have seen five generations of actors. I have seen actors becoming superstars and I have seen their downfall. My best friends are no longer there in this film industry. They thought they were Gods but no we are nothing. So I tell my children I only want your good sides which you all have. Settle down in life and sometimes I secretly tell them, I want to play with their children, so ask them to get married."
He also said that his children respect him a lot for his career driven life. He said, "Today, my children respect me for all the hard work that their father has done. They know I came to Mumbai with nothing in my pocket. Our industry is full of good people who helped me in my journey. I especially cannot forget Sunil Dutt. My real name is Sunil Kapoor. ‘Shakti’ name was given to me by Sunil Dutt and Nargis ji. Dutt sir was always there next to me. I had two fathers and he was my second father. I also cannot forget Feroz Khan who gave me ‘Qurbani’, Vinod Khanna who gave me his house to live."
