Veteran film maker Kodi Rama krishna is no more
Filmmaker Kodi Ramakrishna is one of the legendary directors in Telugu film industry. Apart from Telugu films, he has also directed and written Malayalam and Hindi films as well. Recently the director has fallen sick and has been rushed to the hospital. He was admitted at the AIG Hospital in Gachibowli, His condition was very critical and has passed away while taking the treatment. Kodi Ramakrishna has breathed his last on Friday (Feb 22, 2019) at AIG hospital where he was getting treated. Kodi Ramakrishna was in critical in condition and has been put on a ventilator. Earlier, the director had suffered from heart attack and paralytic attack as well.
Kodi Ramakrishna is unarguably Telugu film industry stalwart directors of the 1980s and 1990s. He was Born on 23rd July in Palakollu of West Godavari district. Kodi Ramakrishna's films are well-known graphics, high visual effects and also devotional films. The late director debuted in the year 1982 with film 'Intlo Ramayya Veedilo Krishnayya' later on he gave memorable blockbusters like 'Mangamma Gari Manavadu' (1984), 'Thalambralu' (1986), 'Aahuthi' (1987), 'Station Master' (1988), 'Muddula Mavayya' (1989), 'Pelli' (1997), and 'Dongaata' (1997). In the first phase of his career he directed many thought-provoking films, Some of his early films reflected the angst of the '80s youngsters, who were riven by unemployment and emotional distress. In the second phase of career, he directed some visual spectacles with devotional touch.
Ammoru, Devullu, Devi, Arundhati are not only jus blockbuster films but also sensational trendsetting movies in their own way. All these films directed by him will be always remembered by even this generation audience. For Graphics and visual effects, his films like Anji and Arundathi won National awards.
Kodi Rama Krishna directed more than 100 films and he is master for making films in different genres. Apart from directing films, he had also acted in a few films. His last film was Nagarahavu in 2016 in Kannada and the film was dubbed into Telugu. This untimely demise of Kodi Ramakrishna is a huge loss to the Telugu film industry and director fraternity.
